And Our Lives Go On

After Mary Ellen’s Funeral today, we drove by our new home to see what was happening there.  When someone you love dies, it feels like all life should stop for a minute and take a pause and take in the loss by not moving forward.  I’m always amazed that people just keep going, many unaware that some great loss to this world has just happened.  It felt wrong to just drive away and then step into a life going forward.  But that’s what happens, and that’s what we do.  We keep moving forward.

The foundations of our new home have been poured.  Below is where my new sewing room and the narrow storage room will be.

John is wondering how to make a garden paradise in such a small place.

Our lot backs up to the famous Murdock Trail.  We will have access to it just behind our back wall.

This is the place where our lives will go forward.  The builder tells us the home will be finished in October.  I wonder what our future will be like here.
