This morning at the cabin we woke to some very sad news.  Our beloved friend has died.  I’ve been thinking about him all day, remembering the lessons I’ve learned from him.  He is probably my favorite of all favorite Apostles.  I am really going to miss him.

Here are a few things I will always remember from Elder Holland:

“I Would Pretty Much Follow Elder Holland Into Battle, Anytime, Anywhere”

Evidence that I was here, that I loved and was loved.

This quote of his made a huge impact on me:

“I don’t know exactly how each of you should fulfill your obligation to those who do not or cannot always help themselves. But I know that God knows, and He will help you and guide you in compassionate acts of discipleship if you are conscientiously wanting and praying and looking for ways to keep a commandment He has given us again and again.”
