This morning walked down to the water to a dock to catch a small ferry boat/water taxi across the way to the Granville Market–a fun shopping area with unique shops and food. It was really fun.
Our first stop was a bakery that had the most delicious breads and pastries. We got ham & cheese croissants, a blueberry & lemon scone and an almond chocolate pastry. All delicious.
Caleb is just learning to walk. He’s so fun!
Then we wandered through the streets in the Granville Market. There was a large enclosed area that had fruit and vegetable vendors, meat, fish, herbs, pastas, and lots more–colorful and fun. There were 2 or 3 streets of boutique shops with clothing, Canadian handcrafts, imported things and more. One large building was just filled with things for kids–toys, games, books. It was fun and interesting.
Then back to our hotel rooms where we packed our bags and called an Uber to take us across the way to the cruise ship dock where we were instructed to be between 1:30 and 2:30. There is a huge in-take procedure that looked like it was designed to handle 1000s of visitors. Today it was not crowded. We were guided through the building, putting tags on our bags, depositing them, receiving instructions, and making our way to the gang planks taking us onto the huge cruise ship.
