A Few of my Quilts

I finished a couple of quilts last week and took some photos of them and others today. Thought I’d share them here. I love being surrounded by books, quilts and good friends.

Love your quilts, Ann. What a happy entry! Can’t help but notice your Amish dolls and wonder when you’re coming for a trip to Amish country. Thirty percent discount in their one-of-a-kind fabric stores the first Friday in May!

I realize it’s been a while since you posted these quilts but the fourth one down is exceptionally pleasing to me. I have searched for the pattern and/or name but cannot find it!
Would you please tell me what pattern it is and where I might find the instructions?
    Thank you so much!

    • Hi Constance! That is a really fun quilt to make! There’s an easy technique. I’m in Africa now and will be home in September. If you will email me at annlewis@byu.net around the first of October, I can send you the pattern name and info. It was in a magazine and I have it at home. I can send it to you once I’m back. I know right where it is, but I don’t have it with me here!

  15. Abby says:

Beautiful quilts. I am wanting to make a scrappy hourglass quilt like the the third one down from the top. Would you mind sharing tips as to how you did this? I am fairly new to quilting and don’t know what the most economic/efficient method would be. Thank you!

  16. Robin says:

The seventh quilt down, with all the white and pretty little squares is so beautiful!! What name would I search to find a pattern for it? All of your quilts look beautiful and your shelf is very pretty too!!

    • Hi Robin. I didn’t really use a pattern. You can just make 9-patches (cut squares or strips to strip piece at 1.5″, finishing at 1″, then alternate them with solid squares cut at 3.5″ to finish at 3″. It’s a simple timeless pattern. If you searched for simple 9-patch patterns, you could probably find one for this quilt.
