A Fun Family History Assignment

Fall, Lewis Yard (1)

Make a list of at least 5 items you have in your home that are important to you –items that only you know the stories behind.

This week take a photo of these items and write a paragraph about each explaining its significance to you and your family.

These items may be heirlooms or things handed down to you like furniture, tools, handwork, dishes, linens, books, jewelry, paintings, or personal items belonging to your parents or grandparents.

If something were to happen to you would your family members know the significance of these treasures? Or will these items be on their way to a thrift store when you’re gone? You had better tell them before it’s too late!
