A Quilt or Two for November

Quilt Chicken Run (3)

Here are some fun Fall quilts I like to get out in November.  This first one I adapted from a pattern called “Spring Chickens” by Meme’s Quilts.  I call it “Chicken Run” except in November when I pretend they’re turkeys!  It was a lot of fun to make.Quilt Chicken Run (1)

The quilt below is called “American Pie Quilt” from the Ginger Cookie Company book called “Serendipity Stars.”  The top is also all appliqued.  I stitched this one while we were in South Africa for a month with a performing group from BYU.  We toured the country with 80 kids in 2 busses.  I enjoyed stitching as we went from town to town for their performances.  As tour managers, John and I got to greet people as they came to the performances.  I got to see many old friends from my mission.  It was a fabulous trip.  This quilt reminds me of those happy memories and my dear South African friends.Quilt Serendipity Stars (1)
