Here are some fun Fall quilts I like to get out in November. This first one I adapted from a pattern called “Spring Chickens” by Meme’s Quilts. I call it “Chicken Run” except in November when I pretend they’re turkeys! It was a lot of fun to make.
The quilt below is called “American Pie Quilt” from the Ginger Cookie Company book called “Serendipity Stars.” The top is also all appliqued. I stitched this one while we were in South Africa for a month with a performing group from BYU. We toured the country with 80 kids in 2 busses. I enjoyed stitching as we went from town to town for their performances. As tour managers, John and I got to greet people as they came to the performances. I got to see many old friends from my mission. It was a fabulous trip. This quilt reminds me of those happy memories and my dear South African friends.
