Every week millions of LDS Young Women all over the world stand united and repeat this Young Women Theme together.  Those of us who are or who have been their leaders repeat it too.  We know it by heart, and we believe what we say.

This theme has taken on new meaning for me during the last several months as we have been working on the Feminine Hygiene kits.  I’ve watched hundreds of young women come to help, sharing their time, talents, and love.  I’ve watched their hearts expand to embrace other girls on the other side of the equator, whose faces they’ve only seen in my photos.  As we have worked together on this huge project, one line of this theme has played in my mind over and over and over again:

We are daughters of a Heavenly Father who loves us.  Period.

I believe that.  I believe He loves each one of us, where ever we are.  I believe He put us here on earth to help each other be happy.  I believe He’ll help us know how to help if we ask Him.  Please don’t miss that opportunity.  Just ask.
