J’apprends le francais and I make quilts

Two fun things happened today:

#1.  I hit 700 days of French study without breaking my streak,

#2 I laid out then sewed the blocks together for 2 more quilts.  This pattern is called “Off the Rail” by Jaybird Quilts.  You can find the pattern here:

I’ve had the fabric for this quilt for several years.   I cut the strips while we were in Montana last month (before my hand surgery) so I’d have plenty to keep me busy until I can cut again.  As I cut, I realized I had enough fabric for 2 quilts.  This pattern was fast and easy and fun.  I’m already thinking of other fabric combinations I can use to make more.
