We arrived in Netanya about an hour before the group we were joining. When our friend, Steve Lund learned we would be in Israel this week, he invited us to join him and all of his family and members of the Young Men’s and Young Women’s Advisory Boards. He said they had 4 extra seats on their big tour bus, just enough for us to join them while they toured the outlying areas in Israel. Then they’ll spend their last couple of days in Jerusalem, and we’ll peel off and go home. For us, it was a perfect arrangement!
This is our hotel for tonight, where we’ll celebrate and welcome in 2023!
(So you don’t have to break the Sabbath by pushing a button.)
Above is the view from Claire and Graham’s room. Spectacular!
The dinner buffet was also spectacular! So many interesting things to taste and sample!
We had a Sacrament Meeting this evening with members of the group. Brad Wilcox is the group leader and teacher. He explained about the organization of the 12 Tribes and how all the sons of Isaac (Israel) fell out. He explained the birthright and our place in the gathering. It was good. These friends had been on a bus for 8 hours, coming from Petra, so they were exhausted. Not many stayed awake to welcome in the new year!
