Today we celebrated Mother’s Day in the Lewis Family. Our tradition is that the men cook a meal for the women and we all get to relax and enjoy some good food. This year we went to Jeffrey & Kathleen’s. Wow, what a nice evening we had there. Just the siblings and spouses. We fit around one table: J&K, B&L, D&C, Di and us. Lowell baked salmon and had salmon bowls with all the toppings. Jeffrey and Kathleen did a lime cilantro coconut rice with sauteed shrimp. Di made a delicious lemon cream pie with graham cracker crust. D&C brought Martinelli’s drinks. The food was delicious. The desserts were delicious. Angel food cake is one of my favorite desserts.
The visiting was fun. We learned all about grandchildren. And we enjoyed the delicious desserts. It was a peaceful delightful Sunday afternoon and evening. After dinner and clean up we all went downstairs to watch the new movie: Seeking Persephone. It’s in 4 parts. We watched the first 2 episodes and really enjoyed it before heading home.
