Theo of Golden, a Bookclub Selection

Allen Levi’s first book, Theo of Golden, has topped the charts.  I enjoyed reading it last October while recovering from my hip replacement surgery.  Tonight it was the discussion book at our monthly book club.  The book is worth reading.  It’s a gentle, pleasant read. A nice story. It shows how the influence of one kind man can change many lives.  We all need to be more like Theo.

Virginia used an AI program to make pencil sketches of everyone in our book club.  If you’ve read the book, you’ll understand why.

Here are a few quotes from the book:

“For anything to be good, truly good, there must be love in it.”

“Sadness can make us bitter or wise. We get to choose.”

“God gave us faces so we can see each other better.”

“Heaven can draw a straight line with a crooked stick.”

“Do good, bestow kindness, strive for beauty, seek and find the river that leads to life everlasting, and draw from the fountain that never runs dry.”
