It occurred to me today that when I write about the beauty around me here in our little corner, my mind overflows with visual images of God’s creations. I want to share some of those images with you. Here are some photos I’ve taken in our gardens:
In the Book of Mormon, in 74 B.C., an Anti-Christ named Korihor goes about preaching that there is no God and he claims that no one can know that there shall be a Christ. Korihor says to the prophet, Alma, “If thou wilt show me a sign, that I may be convinced that there is a God, yea, show unto me that he hath power, and then will I be convinced of thy words.”
Alma responds, “Will ye say Show unto me a sign, when ye have the testimony of all these thy brethren, and also all the holy prophets? The scriptures are laid before thee, yea, and all things denote there is a God; yea even the earth, and all things that are upon the face of it, and its motion, yea, and also all the planets which move in their regular form do witness that there is a Supreme Creator.”
How is it possible to look into the face of a flower and not believe there is a God in heaven above who loves us? I know He lives. And I know He loves me. I see it in the face of every bloom and bud in our garden. I hope you feel it too.
I hope you don’t get this twice. I think I lost the first one. I LOVE your flowers and your composition. Obviously photography is another one of your talents. See you soon.
