We are a BYU Family. John and I both attended and received degrees from BYU (before we knew each other). And this semester all three of our kids will be BYU students. It’s the first time ever in our family life that all 3 will be attending the same school (although Claire will be studying in Vienna this semester).
Today John and I went with Aaron to the Freshman Orientation Convocation. I got a little emotional as I looked out over the thousands of students who are the cream of the cream of the crop. The average GPA of incoming freshmen is around 3.8 and ACT scores are approaching 30 and above. It’s no small thing to get into BYU these days. I’m proud of our kids.
The sign at the entrance to campus says: Enter to Learn, Go Forth to Serve. Here’s to a new semester and new opportunities to learn, preparing to go out into the world to make a difference.
