Hear the cries and do what you can to help.

Mali.2012.Dec.Ann (737)

“The community whose hearts are open to the cries of distress, who are ready to administer of the substance which the Lord gives them to relieve their fellow creatures, may always depend upon the favor of the Lord, for He loves those who are kind to their fellow-men, and who administer to their necessities, whose hearts are tender, and who readily respond to applications of this character which are made upon them, or who anticipate them by giving freely to the destitute.”
— Pres. Wilford Woodruff

I shared this quote in our Relief Society lesson last week.  I want to be a part of that community.  I’m just one mom.  But I can do everything in my power to help.  And I will.  Thanks to all who have contributed to the good we will try to do in Ouelessebougou during the next 10 days.

Our flight to Paris to Bamako, Mali leaves in a couple of hours.  I’ll be off the grid until I return Dec. 3rd.  Happy Thanksgiving everyone!  Happy giving to those you love.
