Oh my, what a fabulous week in Oceanside sewing our fingers to the bone! Six of us when from Utah, to join our California quilting friends who come to our American Quilting Retreats in March. We had 2 beach front condos, 22 women and 100s of projects! It was so fun to sit and create and share ideas and tips and fabric. I love how we each went home with bits and pieces from each other–not just fabric, but joy and ideas and even food!
Here are a few photos–there are more in my phone coming. Hope you enjoy the visual feast we had for one glorious week!
The quilt below is one I worked on for 2 1/2 days–a pattern by Amy McClellan called Cobblestones. It went together in rows of tedious inset seams. Wow. That was a Job! I was happy when it was finished. I LOVE the quilt and all the fabrics in it.
Above is the view from our condos and below is the finished top I made. Some of the others also worked on this fun quilt.
My next project was a log cabin made from more Civil War Reproduction fabrics:
more coming!
