Today is the 215th Birthday of Theodore Turley, my 3rd Great-Grandpa. Sometimes I have a bad day. Sometimes it’s hard to be away from home and family and friends. Sometimes I complain or don’t notice all the blessings I am enjoying.
It’s a good thing to know our ancestors and know what they endured and suffered because of their testimonies of Jesus Christ and His restored gospel. Knowing what they did makes it easier for me to do hard things that are not really so hard after all.
In this book, Life of Heber C. Kimball, I found mention of Theodore in April 1839 doing hard things. I am grateful to him for what he stood for and for what he did.
