One of the great joys of coming home is returning to our beloved Yakima missionaries.  We’ve really missed these dear friends.  This week we had our first reunion in 2 years.  With the Covid restrictions while we were away, they were not able to gather.

It was so fun to see so many, some with spouses, some with children. We had the event catered by J-Dawgs with sides and treats brought by the missionaries.  What an amazing evening.  We love these kids as if they were our own.

After we’d all eaten, John and I shared a bit about our experiences in Africa.  The rest of the evening was spent visiting and catching up with these good friends.  It almost felt like we’d never been away.

Elder and Sister Thompson traveled all the way from Yakima!  And they brought boxes of delicious Washington apples to share with everyone!
