I grew up on a farm in California where we had a huge boysenberry patch. I’ve always dreamed of having another, here in Utah. Today was the day we got after it. The stakes are in the ground, the wire is stretched, and our first berry starts have been planted. I’m hoping that in the coming years, this corner of the playground will be a berry haven for all who come here.
We’ve been busy reviving our yard, pruning, thinning and adding some new perennials. Bookstores and nurseries hold the same kind of excitement for me. My heart beats faster in both.
