After our evening program and dinner, we returned to the pageant site for another fun evening–this time we watched the Nauvoo Pageant production. We met up with Abbey’s parents and aunt this evening. Her Aunt Amy is the choreographer for these 2 pageants, which means training 100s of volunteers that rotate in and out every 2-3 weeks. She’s amazing.
Again, we enjoyed watching all the pre-show activities and the visitors who flock to Nauvoo for these pageants.
These are my wonderful Bushman cousins:
Tonight’s pageant told the story of Nauvoo and the building of the temple. Again, it was spectacular, especially at the end when the temple on the distant hill was lit up. Oh, the sacrifices made in this place! We know the stories, but will we ever Really understand the sacrifices our ancestors made for US?
