Our weekly Thimble Creek Quilt Group was planning to go to Karen Ashton’s cabin at Sundance this week to sew. Instead, more snow fell, making it impossible to drive the mountain roads to the cabin. Instead we met at Karin Crawford’s home here in the valley during the day, going home in the evenings. We had a great time and got quite a bit done and I was able to navigate to my radiation appointments every day without too much hazardous driving.
I’m working on prepping applique blocks (see the two?) to work on next week when we go to the Indian Wells Tennis Tournament. I’ll have plenty of time there to sit and stitch.
On Friday I went for my LAST day of radiation treatments. This last week has been a little rough–my skin finally started to break down a bit, leaving some areas raw and sore. My friends at the hospital gave me this certificate and bottle of Sparkling Cider to celebrate making it through! I will miss them and my little locker room!
