Christmas Time at the Cabin 2025

We headed to the cabin yesterday, the day after Christmas for a short get-away.  There was not a lick of snow in sight except for some dirty patches of man-made snow on the bunny hill at Sundance.  We enjoyed a pizza dinner, a Christmas puzzle and a movie.

This morning we were quite shocked to wake to 5-6″ of new fresh snow!  And it fell though the day, creating a beautiful winter wonderland.  Caleb was amazed at what he saw.  And we were thrilled to watch him discover the makeover to our cabin world.

It wasn’t long before we had a sledding run down the driveway.  Graham, our Canadian cold weather expert went right to work, teaching Caleb to play in the snow.

We had fun building a little snowman, just Caleb’s size.

It was really so fun!  We spent the day playing outside, eating good food inside, and enjoying the peace and quiet of our mountain home with Claire and Graham and Caleb.

I took my Snowman Quilt along and started sewing the buttons on.  It seemed like the right place to be working on this one!

This afternoon we also watched BYU play in the Pop Tart Bowl.  We came from behind for the win!  It was a perfect sort of get-away after a busy week preparing for Christmas.
