I found this photo of Claire taken one year ago this month with her feet in casts after her bunion surgery. Last night I went with Claire to the Mall to buy some shoes for her upcoming travels. She’s heading out to Egypt, Greece, then Europe in a couple of weeks and she wanted to get some shoes that will keep her feet happy when she’s on the go.
The surgery was successful and Claire has been going a mile a minute ever since she started walking again. Here’s what her feet look like now:
Here’s what Claire’s feet looked like before the surgery:
Her feet were made for walkin’ and that’s just what they’ll do!
The scard are barely visible. The post-op progress is amazing, however they will probably never return to being naturally straight, I hope she was using silizon toe separators ever since.
I first come across your post about the operation in 2014, now by complete accident I found it again and it’s great to see the recovery report, good luck to all of you!
